Dr James Rademaker is pleased to be back at Allen Veterinary Hospital after working in Indianapolis for 5 years after graduating from Purdue with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Dr. James looks to continue Allen Veterinary Hospital's history of having a combination of compassion and practicality. If he hadn't become a veterinarian, he would have become a science teacher and enjoys each visit as a chance to explain the reasons behind the decisions we make for your pets. While he enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, Dr. James has a strong interest in exotic animals and enjoys reading the most current veterinary journals to keep up with this constantly changing field. His life is centered by spending time with his wife Mary, three boys Jacob, David, Thomas and cat Waffles.

Edward G. Rademaker, DVM

Edward G. Rademaker, DVM - Animal Hospitals in Fort Wayne, IN
Dr. Edward Rademaker is a native of Fort Wayne. He graduated from Purdue University of Veterinary Medicine in 1977 and has been the owner of Allen Veterinary Hospital since 1980. Dr. Rademaker enjoys the diverse challenges of animal medicine & surgery. He spends his spare time boating, hiking and being outdoors with his wife of 34 years, Beth, and their German Shorthairs Jill and Mae.

Helga I. Beck, DVM

Helga I. Beck, DVM - Animal Hospitals in Fort Wayne, IN
A Fort Wayne native, Dr. Beck graduated from Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. She joined Allen Veterinary Hospital in 2003. Dr. Beck treats both dogs and cats, but has a special interest in cats. She is also experienced in the care and special needs of shelter animals.

Robin J. Trammel, DVM

Robin J. Trammel, DVM - Animal Hospitals in Fort Wayne, IN
Dr. Robin Trammel is excited to be a new member of the Allen Veterinary Hospital Team. She grew up in central Fort Wayne and was happy to be able to move back after graduating from Purdue University in May of 2015. Dr. Trammel's passion for veterinary medicine comes from promoting the human-animal bond through preventative care and forming strong working relationships with clients and their pets. In her free time she enjoys reading and going to movies and live music venues with her husband Adam. Dr. Trammel has two comfort creatures at home; a scruffy dog named Django and a big cat (pictured) named Freddie Mercury.
